of fossilized dinosaur skin
High technology has taken an important step in the research of the past on Earth to discover, thanks to X-rays taken with a synchrotron, the first image of organic components the skin of a dinosaur that lived 50 million years ago.
In particular it is a hadrosaur, perfectly preserved, which was found in the Green River Formation in Utah (USA).
A team led by Phil Manning Roy Wogelius and were served the synchrotron light beam that is in the University of Stanford and infrared technology to Manchester to reveal the existence of a huge fossilized soft tissue Eocene lizard.
