ONPE Officer said that in the second round a candidate wins to obtain a simple majority "The Elections Act states that if the void or blank votes combined than the two thirds of the total votes cast the election is annulled" said today Arturo Revoredo, chief Office of Policy and Regulation of Financial Supporter of the ONPE. In an interview with Radio Programas, the official also said that in the second round of a presidential ticket should only get a simple majority to win the eleccción, while in the first round must exceed 50% of valid votes. He also recalled that the second round will take place 30 days after the declaration of the results the first round, with the probable date on 5 June. He indicated that citizens did not participate in the first round and have not paid their fines, may vote in the second normally. THE FACT In Peru there is little more than 19 million eligible voters. Which means to annul the election, it would take more than 12 million votes invalid or blank.
